Mark your calendars: the Hodgetwins are officially coming back to Columbus. In a follow-up announcement of the comedy duo’s new Columbus show, the Hodgetwins have announced the venue for their October performance to be none other than Columbus State University.
According to a Facebook event posted by Mad Hatter Shows, the widely-acclaimed comedy duo will be performing at Columbus State University on October 29, 2022. Tickets are available from etix here.
The new show comes after a largely-disliked cancellation and discriminatory scandal by the Springer Opera House this past July. As revealed through a series of correspondence from a Springer employee and public statements made by the Springer’s executive staff, the last-minute cancellation was purely political in nature.
Springer Producing Artistic Director, Paul Pierce, openly admitted the cancellation was due to the political nature of the performers’ content. His admission was made after email correspondence from a Springer employee to the comedy team’s manager was leaked, which boldly contradicted public statements made by the Springer just the day prior.
After his admission and contradictory statement, Paul Pierce then went on to delete his personal Facebook account that same night on July 11, 2022 after attempting to backpedal out of a seemingly obvious bald-faced lie.
